Born of a Palestinian father and a Lebanese mother, Faysal Mikdadi was brought up in Beirut. He came to Britain in 1967 and trained as a teacher in Sussex, receiving his degree in Kent. After teaching for thirteen years, he gave up his job to concentrate on writing.
His other publications include a novel, Châteaux en Palestine, and a volume of poems, A Return.
