Malika Oufkir spent almost her entire life as a prisoner. Born in 1953, she was the eldest daughter of General Oufkir, the King of Morocco’s closest aide. The King adopted her at age five, raising her as a companion to his young daughter. Malika spent her childhood and adolescence in the secluded court harem. She was one of the most eligible heiresses in the kingdom, surrounded by luxury and privilege.
