Marwan Iskandar is a Lebanese economist who studied at Oxford University and the American University of Beirut. Since well over thirty years, he has been chief economic commentator at An-Nahar, Lebanon’s leading newspaper. Between 1968 and 1974 he edited a weekly financial and economic review for An-Nahar.
He has advised the ruler of one Arab country and the ministries of finance and information of three other Arab countries. Intermittently, he has advised three Lebanese prime ministers, and has published so far eleven books on economics and politico-economic major events in the Middle East.
