Poems Collection – Marwan Dajani

Marwan Dajani is a passionate Palestinian whose mother tongue is Arabic. He is one of that fading generation who remembers living in Palestine before his family fled in 1948. That generation was the last to live under the British mandate and so English is his second language, one in which he speaks and writes fluently. Hus thinking though is as an Arab, so his English is rich in borrowed idioms, cadences and expressions. Far from detracting this enriches his English poetry, creating images that are unique to him and his particular style.
