Kitabi2021

Born in Lebanon in 1946, I came to the US in 1971 to complete my post graduate medical training in internal medicine and infectious diseases. When the twenty-year Lebanese Civil War prevented me from returning, I made Oklahoma my home.

I started writing at an early age, driven by an insatiable passion, which continues to burn like a sun within my soul. First, I wrote poetry, then I wrote novels, and currently I am writing short stories. After four poetry books and four novels, I am currently preparing to publish a book of short stories, a fifth book of verse, and a book of daily thoughts.

My most valuable reservoir of feelings comes from my being bicultural:

Because I have two hearts

Because I straddle oceans

Because I am both banks of life
